We weren't sure what to expect when we bought tickets to The Candy Cane Express. Liam and I had never been on a train at all, and Garrett not since childhood.

But even if we had some sort of expectations, they would have been greatly exceeded! We had such a great time that Liam said he wants to go back every weekend now.

Hal & the amazing staff at the Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway provided much more than a scenic train ride through the beautiful Adirondacks, they kept everyone entertained, and did a great job spreading Christmas cheer.

Liam had a blast joining the elves for a snowball fight, enjoying cookies & hot cocoa, and even seeing Santa!

The Candy Cane Express, Happening on weekends until December 18th, is just one of the fun, themed train rides that happen throughout the year at the SCH Railway!

They have the upcoming Christmas Tree Limited on November 25th & 27th, where you can enjoy a trip to Bob's Trees where they're picking up their Christmas Tree! You can also purchase a Christmas tree online ahead of time to be brought back on the Train.
Then on December 3rd, you can enjoy an adults-only ride on The Naughty or Nice Train! Leave the kids at home and enjoy a 90 minute ride with provided alcoholic beverages.
Finally, you can buy tickets to the Locomotive Ride, and get VIP treatment while riding with the Engineer himself! If you have a kiddo who loves trains, tickets to this type of ride would be the perfect holiday gift.
